Prof as. Dr. Av. Maksim HAXHIA – Senior Partner of the Firm, is practicing law since 1982 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in October 1992. He graduated in Law in the Faculty of Juridical sciences of Tirana and holds a degree in economics as well. He holds several academic titles as associated professor and Doctor of Juridical sciences. Throughout his career, he has completed several specializations, in Albania and abroad, including specialization in Harvard University. For many years, he was a judge in the District Court of Tirana and professor in the Law Faculty. In 1992, Mr. Haxhia held the office of Attorney General of the Republic of Albania. At present, he is the President of the National Bar Association and gives lectures in the Law Faculty and the School of Magistrates of Albania. Av. Haxhia is author of several book texts and articles. His working languages are Albanian, English, Italian and Russian.

Av. Artan HAJDARI (LLM) – Senior Partner of the Firm, is practicing law since 1991 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 1998. He graduated in Law in 1991 in the Tirana Law Faculty and accomplished his master studies in European Studies in the University of Tirana, in 2005. For many years, he was a judge and President of the District Court and Court of Appeal. In 1993, he was the President of Vlora Court of Appeal. Mr. Hajdari was vice-minister of justice for two years. He is a professor in the School of Magistrates and member of several national and international working groups whose purpose is to improve the legislation and its rapprochement with the acquis communautaire. He is author of several articles in civil and commercial law. Av. Hajdari working languages are Albanian, English, and Italian.

Av. Kristaq TRAJA (LLM) – Partner of the Firm, is practicing law since 1978 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 1998. Mr. Traja, throughout his career, has given an important contribution in the law area, particularly on the occasion of the drafting of the Albanian constitution, as the first Albanian judge sitting in the European Court of human Rights, Strasbourg (1998-2008), and by occupying prominent offices in the justice system including its term as Vice minister of justice. For many years, he was a professor in the Law Faculty and is author of important articles and books in relation to constitutional law, rule of law and national and international protection of human rights. At present, he is a professor in the School of Magistrates. Mr. Traja working languages are Albanian, Italian, English, French, Russian, Serbo-Croatian and Turkish.

Av. Elira KOKONA (LLM) – Partner of the Firm, is practicing law since 2001 and is called to the Albanian and Italian National Bar since 2002 and 2005, respectively. She graduated in Law in 1998, in the Law Faculty, University of Tirana and graduated as a Doctor in Law in the Law Faculty, University “La Sapienza” Rome. Practicing lawyer in Italia and Albania, Ms. Kokona during the years 2002-2009 held various positions in the secretariat of the European Court of Human Rights (Referent) and in the General Directorate of Legal and Human Rights in the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France (Legal and Programme Adviser). Av. Kokona has participated in several international arbitration procedures as a legal counsel. She is a professor and expert of the Albanian School of Magistrates, professor of human rights at ISSAT Institute and guest professor of European law in the Master Courses of the Faculty of Political Sciences in La Sapienza University Rome, Italy. In her quality as an expert of the Council of Europe, Av. Kokona has held several national and international conferences with reference to the updating of the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice. Ms. Kokona working languages are Albanian, English, Italian and French.

Av. Envi HICKA – Associate of the Law Firm since 2001, he is practicing law since 2001 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 2002. He graduated in Law in the Law Faculty, University of Tirana. He has participated in numerous cases of national and international arbitration. Av. Hicka is a specialist in the resolution of civil disputes, by arbitration, amiable settlement or through litigation. He has participated in several national and international conferences in relation to the implementation of the law system. He is focalized in the following law areas: civil law, litigation, banking law, intellectual and industrial property, administrative law, custom law, privatization and concession law, employment law and criminal law. Av. Hicka is fluent in English and Italian.

Av. Eris HYSI – Associate of the Law Firm since 2001, she is practicing law since 2001 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 2002. She graduated in Law in 2002 in the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana. She holds a Master’s degree in European and International studies from IRERIE Paris and attends the Master of second degree in European Business Law, held jointly by GTZ and the Law Faculty of the University of Tirana. Av. Hysi has many specializations, in particular a specialization in maritime law from the University of Virginia, USA. The areas of practice include commercial law, privatization, concession law, tax law, bankruptcy law, competition law, social insurance, intellectual and industrial property, maritime law, NGO and litigation. Ms. Hysi is fluent in three foreign languages, English, Italian and French.

Av. Gentian MUÇAJ – Associate of the Law Firm, he is practicing law since 2004. He graduated in Law in the Law Faculty of Tirana. He has a successful experience in dispute resolution, especially in trial disputes. The law areas where he is focalized are civil law, litigation, employment law, administrative law, tax law, customs law, criminal law. Av. Muçaj is fluent in English and Greek languages.

Av. Marsela IMERAJ – Associate of the Law Firm since 2005, she is practicing law since 2003 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 2006. She graduated in Law in the Law Faculty, University of Tirana. She joined the Law Firm after a successful experience in the Public Administration. She has many specializations in areas as property law, licensing and registration of legal entities. Ms. Imeraj is national coach of young lawyers in the field of human rights, certified by the Council of Europe. The law areas where she is focused are business law, tax law, bankruptcy law, social insurance, family law. Av. Imeraj is fluent in three foreign languages, English, Italian and French.

Av. Agela FERIZAJ – Associate of the Law Firm since 2008, she is in practicing law since 2007 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 2008. She graduated in Law in La Sapienza, Rome, obtained a Master’s degree in European studies and International relations in La Sapienza. She has several specializations in negotiation, contracts and arbitrage, in Italy and USA. She joined us after a work experience at Costa Law Firm in Rome, Italy. Ms. Ferizaj had a specialization at the European Center of Information and Documentation at the European Parliament. She is attending the PhD in La Sapienza Rome “On contract law and business management. She teaches civil law at UET University. The law areas where she is focused are business law, contract law, concession law, privatizations and procurement, litigation. Av. Ferizaj is fluent in three foreign languages, English, Italian and French.

Av. Armer JUKA – Associate of the Law Firm since 2009, he is practicing law since 2008 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 2009. He graduated in Law at Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University and obtained Master’s degree of the first and second level in European business law, competition law and company law. He joined us after an experience at Biaggi & Benelli Law Firm in Paris. The law areas where he is focused are company law, competition law, business law, tax law, financial law, international trade, privatization and procurement law. Av. Juka is fluent in four foreign languages, English, French, Italian and Turkish.

Av. Erinda MELI – Associate of the Law Firm, she is practicing law since 2008 and is called to the Albanian National Bar in 2009. She graduated in Law in the Law Faculty, University of Tirana and is attending a Master’s degree of second level in European business law, jointly held program by GTZ and Tirana Law Faculty. She has several national and international specializations. Av. Meli is member of the human rights protection panel. The law areas where she is focused are human rights law, property law etc. Av. Meli is fluent in three foreign languages, English, Italian and French.

Juliana MUÇO (MBM) – Associate part of the Law Firm since 2009, she has been working in the tax and financial services Division since 2008. She graduate as Magistral Doctor in Business Management, with specialization in the field of finance, taxation, administration and audit in the University of Torino, Italy. She has several specializations for management and finance. She joined us after a successful experience as head of sector of the Balkans region at Federexport Piemonte (Confindustria Italy), Torino. She worked as a assistant professor at the Economics Faculty teaching strategic management and in the financial field at Eagle Mobile company. Ms. Muço is in charge of the tax consulting and finacial services sector (accounting, financial analysis, project-budget drafting). She is fluent in three foreign languages, Italian, English and German.

As. Flavieta BALA – Associate part of the Law Firm since 2002, she is in charge of the administration of the office and of the human resources sector. She completed successfully her foreign languages studies in the University of Tirana and graduated in Law in 2009 in the Law Faculty Tirana. Ms. Bala is attending a Master’s degree of second level for “Business Lawyer” held by the Italian Bar and the TCF (Tax consulting firm) in Rome, Italy. As. Bala is fluent in four foreign languages, German, Italian, English and French.

As. Elvina HAXHIAJ – Associate part of the Law Firm since 2005, she is in charge with communication and coordination between the staff. She graduated in Law in 2009 in the Law Faculty, University of Tirana and is currently serving an internship in the Law Firm. Ms. Haxhiaj is attending a Master’s degree of second level in Civil law. She is fluent in English and Italian.
